Locomotion

Sara's new mode of transportation is walking/running! In just a few days she went from taking a few steps here and there, to having to hold our hands to walk (and would PROTEST if we didn't help her) to full on walking. Now she wants to do it HERSELF and does not need any of our help. It's so fun to watch her, with her little arms in the air walking all of the place. It's actually making my life a little easier in some ways but more challenging in others. She has taken some serious falls but for the most part just jumps back up and keeps on chugging. It's amazing the positions she can contort her body into and not even phase her.

Her new favorite toy is this tent that we bought her when she was an infant. We posted a picture way back when and haven't pulled it out since. Our intentions were that we could bring it to the beach and have her nap in it while we hung out. HA! Was that further from what actually happened. We tried putting her in it a few times and wouldn't you know, she screamed bloody murder! Sleep, whatever! But I digress, we are getting our money out of it now. She LOVES it and plays in it for a long time. I put a blanket and pillow in there and say "night, night" and she puts her head on the pillow like she's going to go to sleep. Then waits a few seconds and pops up and squeals! It's pretty cute. She climbs in and out and sticks her face on the mesh and plays peek-a-boo with me.

She thinks it's funny to put stuff on her head...here she has her pj bottoms on her head :-)

She's at such a cute age right now and learning so much every day. She says "uh" and lifts her arms up when she wants on the couch. Then she'll sit there like a grown-up for a little bit and is so proud of herself. Then she turns around and slides of the couch.

You can kind of see her little curls in this picture. Her hair is growing in kind of curly in the back.

In other news, she's officially a big girl now. No more bottle, only sippy cup! It was actually way easier than I had anticipated. She could care less that she hasn't had a bottle in a few days now. Phew! I've heard horror stories but she was great!

She's and Zach are doing so many of the same things. It's so fun to see. We also do the fake sleeping and find trying to balance blocks on our head hysterical. They really are at such a fun stage.

Cute photos and video! Love seeing her walking. Go Sara! She is so like Kai. He never slept in his tent either but loves playing in it now. Can't wait to see you guys.

I forgot to add, glad the bottle transition went well. Kai also couldn't have cared less so long as he had his milk! I think us parents stress about these things more than the kids do!
