Christmas Recap

We had a great day yesterday!  Boy was it a little different then last year's Christmas.  Sara sat in her bumbo and bouncy seat for most of the day.  This year she DIDN'T sit!  It took her a little while to figure out what to do but she definitely got the hang of it.  It's funny what gifts she took a liking to immediately.  Besides the boxes, which were a major hit, she loved climbing on them, she loved a little umbrella stroller that we bought her.  She brings it everywhere and gets really frustrated when it gets stuck on something.  I think she'd take it to bed with her if she could.

It was kind of a "gloomy" day here, rainy and overcast, but we had to do the family tradition and take a trip to the beach.  We actually went twice.  First in the morning, we just walked in the sand and stayed out of the water, which is a challenge with Sara.  Then in the afternoon we packed up and went to Lanikai where it was gorgeous, a little drizzly but still beautiful.  We got Sara a little wetsuit to keep her warm for the winter beach trips.  It is a little big but she loved it.

She is such a water baby.  She would stay in the water all day if we'd let her but she gets cold and her little teeth start chattering.  She likes putting her face in the water, tries to blow bubbles, and loves it when we put her under.  Today, we went to a new beach that had a rock ledge.  Ryan put her up there and would have her "jump" off a few feet, and then go all the way under.  She loved it!  Crazy girl.  I didn't get any pictures from the beach, but you can only imagine.

Anyway, we had a fabulous day, my mom was here which made it even more fun.  I can only imagine what next year will be like with a 2 year old!  Hope you all had a fabulous day and enjoyed spending time with your loved ones!  Mele Kalikimaka from Hawaii!

Looks like it was a great Christmas! Zach was also a big fan of standing on boxes. His favorite thing though was throwing his cousin's toys.

So jealous you guys go to the beach on Christmas.

What a cutie! We'll have to meet at the beach for a photo session, my girls got the same Excel wetsuits! Three blonde surfer girls, maybe we can work a deal with Excel for sponsorship!
